Australian ATM's Easy For Card Skimming

Due to the high withdrawl limits set by the local banks Romanian crime gangs are targeting Australian ATM's for credit card skimming.

Romanian police chief Elias Tudose stated that the gangs had singled out Australia because of the vulnerability of local ATM's and light sentences imposed by the courts.

Thieves have created new methods to steal cash from ATM's by developing false keyboards to record pin numbers as they are typed in.

This new method is being used instead of concealed cameras previously used to record pin numbers contradicting the banks advice to customers to cover their hands when using the keyboard.
